Dr. Stone (ドクターストーン Dokutā Sutōn?) is a Post Apocalyptic manga written by Riichiro Inagaki (Eyeshield 21 writer) and illustrated by Boichi (Sun-Ken Rock author). The story tells us about the adventures of Senku and Taiju, two teenagers who find themselves trapped in a post-apocalyptic world in which the human race has turned into Stone and they look for a way to reverse Petrification in as many people as possible to thus rebuild society as they knew it. The manga that is being published since March 6, 2017 in the pages of the Shūkan Shōnen Jump magazine is currently compiled in seven Tankōbon until September 2018. Editorial Ivrea has licensed the manga in Spain and the anime series has been made with a premiere of July 2019. A second season of the anime was confirmed at the end of the first season of the anime with the words that it is already in production, at the moment the date of the premiere of the new season that will be titled “Dr. STONE: Stone Wars” and that it will adapt the arc of the war against Tsukaza.
