He is one of the main disciples of Kame-Sen’nin, Warrior Z, and the best friend of Son Goku. Along with Bulma, he is one of the main supporting characters in Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Super. He appears in Dragon Ball GT as a supporting character. In the Majin Buu Arc, he retires from martial arts, opting to start a family, as Android 18’s husband and Marron’s father. In Dragon Ball Super he becomes a policeman of Satan City and regains his fighting spirit, occasionally returning to his life as a warrior. Overview Etymology His name is a combination of kuri (く り Kan, kuriHep Jap), a Japanese word meaning “chestnut”, and “shaolín” (少林 ShàolínZho) in Mandarin Chinese. Kurilin has six points on his forehead and shaves his head when he exercises martial arts. Since the Majin Boo Saga as a civilian, he usually wears short black hair, with some strands that hide part of his forehead spots. As a Martial Artist, Kame-Sen’nin gave him the Turtle School Uniform, orange with dark blue ribbon (originally the suit was red and black ribbon), which he always wears except in the Majin Boo Saga and with the background of the white turtle insignia (yellow in Dragon Ball). He wore black Chinese slippers and occasionally the Heavy Combat Clothes that Son Goku wore with God. In the Majin Boo Saga Tournament, he wears a red polo shirt and beige sports pants. In Battle of Gods he wears a green oriental uniform from the Turtle School. In The Resurrection of ‘F’ and in Dragon Ball Super he wears a police uniform and helmet and during his confrontation with the Freeza Army and in the Universal Survival Arc he wears a light orange dogi with indigo blue wristbands and strap and chinese slippers In his spare moments, he wears a scarlet T-shirt with the word “Tacos” on it and beige shorts with blue shoes. Kurilin is an earthling man 153cm tall and weighing 48kg[16]. Personality Originally in his childhood when he met Son Goku and they trained together with Kame-Sen’nin, Kurilin was shown as someone more ambitious, jealous and selfish who had little respect for the rules. He sought to do his best to be the teacher’s favorite. After eight months of training, his attitude softens a bit when he sees the achievements that he himself is obtaining together with his partner in the tournament preliminaries against the monks who bullied him in the Duolin Monastery and begins to feel some empathy for him. the Saiyan when he sees that he manages to face many difficult opponents, especially when he sees how Bulma and his other adventure companions supported him. Indeed, in the Red Ribbon Saga in the confrontation against General Blue and later in Uranai Baba’s Palace, he was a great help to Goku.
